Care of Atelier Emme Jewelry
CARE OF YOUR ATELIER EMME JEWELRY:
Thank you so much for your purchase. Each piece is handcrafted using the best materials available. Though all the pieces are fabricated to ensure a long life, handcrafted jewelry using natural precious and semi-precious stones and precious metals require a bit of extra care. Stretch Bracelets: I use a very high quality and strong stretch cord. When wearing your strechy stackables please make sure not to stress the bracelet by over stretching it, but rather roll the bracelet over your hand and on to your wrist. This will ensure your bracelet will last for many years to come. I have bracelets in my personal collection that have had the same stretch cord for 10 years. A little bit of gentle care goes a long way.
Always apply perfumes, lotions, hairspray, spray tanners and other types of cosmetics BEFORE putting on your fine jewelry pieces. The alcohol and chemicals in these cosmetics can dull and sometimes dehydrate natural stones. Do not wear your jewelry while showering and / or swimming; soaps, chlorine and salt water can dull the sparkle in your stones and metals.
Store your fine jewelry pieces in their original Atelier Emme boxes or in plastic storage baggies which will prevent oxidation of precious metals.
TO CLEAN YOUR FINE JEWELRY:
Stones (Precious and Semi-precious): Wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth such as a cotton tee or soft cotton towel. DO NOT use chemical commercial cleaners and / or ultrasonic cleaning machines.
Precious metals: Buff with a commercial cloth treated for silver or gold. Oxidized finishes do not need to be buffed. They will patina beautifully as you wear them over time.
A little TLC goes a long way and caring for your jewelry pieces as suggested will ensure they will last for your enjoyment!
